100 Random Things About Me

Today I thought I would share some things about me. I know that other people have done the same thing, and it is not very creative, so sue me. Here is a list of 100 interesting (umm, not so interesting) things about me

1. I love high heels, the taller the better.
2. I am the oldest of 5 children.
3. I used to be terribly shy, I actually got held back in kindergarten because I didn’t talk.
4. Now, people try to get me to shut up. I am constantly getting told that I talk to much.
5. I love to read, when I was in high school, I would go to the library and check out 20 books at a time.
6. I didn’t believe in love until recently.
7. I can fit my whole fist in my mouth.
8. I believe in the healing powers of shopping.
9. I don’t believe in heaven or hell.
10. I lost my drivers license because I didn’t pay some speeding tickets, NOT because of a DUI.
11. I have tons of pictures of Wookis, but hardly any of myself. I hate being in front of the camera.
12. I love art.
13. I sucked my thumb until I was 11 or 12 (only when I was sleeping!)
14. I have lived in Okinawa, Japan and would love to go back there one day and see it all again.
15. I have a magazine obsession. Lucky is my absolute favorite, its about shopping.
16. When we were kids my sister, ReaRea and I used to practice gymnastics out of a book.
17. I am a gadget geek. I bought a new cell phone at full price because it was cooler than my other phone.
18. One day, when I grow up, I want to be a party planner.
19. I have dropped out of 2 colleges, still don’t have a degree.
20. I worry that I am not a good mother after reading parenting books. But I can’t stop reading them.
21. While growing up my family moved almost 20 times, mostly between California and Illinois.
22. I hate the winter. I don’t want a white Christmas.
23. I am addicted to coffee. I drink 6 to 8 cups a day.
24. I have never been married, and worry that I will never get married.
25. I love office supplies. Paper, pens, folders, etc. I can get lost looking at stuff at Staples.
26. I have 24 different color permanent markers at my desk
27. Sometimes I sit in the dark and listen to jazz music to just lose myself.
28. I cry at night when Wookis goes to Sperm Donor’s house.
29. At one time I used to be able to ride my bike 40 miles, I hope to get back to doing that one day.
30. I wear a ton of black. Not to make a statement, but because it’s easy.
31. I love makeup.
32. I love colorful shoes, they really pop with all the black I wear.
33. I have every card given to me since birth, my mom started and I have just continued keeping them.
34. I love to draw, but I don’t show anyone my stuff.
35. I used to keep a diary of all my favorite poems.
36. I had 13 strokes almost exactly 1 month after I had Wookis because a blood clot traveled through a hole in my heart to my brain.
37. I worry that it will happen again.
38. My closet is organized by color.
39. I am a little jealous of my sister’s relationship with her fiance, I want the same thing.
40. I volunteered full-time for 2 years for Ameri*Corps VISTA. I miss doing stuff like that.
41. I once dated a man 20 years older then me. I don’t recommend it.
42. I miss variety in my job. Now I do the same thing every day.
43. My favorite movie of all time is American Beauty.
44. I got bangs cut because I wanted to look like Ann Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada.
45. I used a different name in grade school and high school to fit in with the rest of my family.
46. I used to work on an IT help desk, I was called Sexy Princess because of my phone voice.
47. I have colored my hair since I was 16 years old, but I have never really changed it.
48. I want a tattoo, but don’t want to get one because my other two sisters did it first and I don’t want to look like I’m copying them.
49. If I don’t like a movie, I will walk out of the theater.
50. I love talking to guys with accents, they make me melt.
51. Sperm Donor has an accent.
52. I don’t want to turn 30. I don’t think I’m ready yet.
53. I liked being the only girl on the IT help desk. I got a lot of attention.
54. One guy actually thought I was a blond, peppy person. (I am so not)
55. I started this blog to help me release some emotions.
56. I am part Lebanese. I am proud that I can name a part of my heritage.
57. I don’t talk to my biological father. I don’t care what his life is like now. He will always be that drug-addicted SOB that abandoned us.
58. I am intolerant of drug and alcohol addictions. But I applaud anyone who overcomes those addictions. (only one exception, see #57)
59. I have never done drugs.
60. I love the beach. The sights, the sounds, the smells. It reminds me of happier times and my mom.
61. I love seeing mountains on the horizon. They are extremely beautiful to me.
62. I love flowers. Any kind. I really like getting them sent to me, it makes me feel special.
63. I hate dating. All that talking and getting to know each other, yuck!
64. Sometimes I am afraid I will always be alone.
65. I love ice cream.
66. I have more boy-friends then girl-friends.
67. My friend Batman, once told me that if I was a man, I would be a god.
68. I hate double-standards.
69. I can name all the characters from The Backyardigans, and sometimes I will have one of their songs stuck in my head all day.
70. I write most of my posts at work.
71. I hate sports.
72. I love cats and dogs. But right now, I only have fish.
73. I don’t need to buy things when I shop. I just like to look sometimes.
74. One of my favorite foods is hummus, and I can’t remember the last time I had it.
75. I am very clumsy. I am always falling down stairs or have a bruise somewhere.
76. I once kissed a guy for $5 and a free drink.
77. I love 80s music. Especially pop. Like Madonna or Tiffany it reminds me of happier times.
78. I hate my step-dad. He has done some awful things to people I love.
79. I miss my mom. She was such a big part of my life. I still need her.
80. I have just realized I am not that interesting.
81. I hate tequila, but loooooove margaritas.
82. I hate that no one ever calls me. I wanna be popular!
83. My sister is one of my best friends.
84. When I was growing up, I never thought I wanted kids.
85. If something bothers me I will focus on it all day until I get it resolved.
86. Sometimes I sit back and think about a good kiss.
87. I like waking up next to someone holding me. It makes me feel wanted.
88. I once broke up with a guy because I didn’t like his kids.
89. I have a crush on David Caruso’s character from CSI Miami, Horatio Caine.
90. I have been on stage at a strip club.
91. Sometimes I think I am hilarious, but no one else laughs.
92. You know that voice in your head that tells you not to say something? I don’t listen to it sometimes.
93. It is important to me that Wookis is well dressed. I don’t want him to grow up being ashamed of the clothes that he wore.
94. I will spend too much money if I think that something is worth it. Wookis’ day care costs a lot.
95. I cheat at Monopoly.
96. I like dating guys taller than me because it makes me feel petite.
97. I worry about what some people will think of this list.
98. Some days I want to be a stay-at-home mom. Then I realize I would go crazy.
99. I like being carded.
100. I will flirt if it will help me get something done. It doesn’t matter man or woman.
